University of Portsmouth Visits Aptech Center

Dr. David Endzi & Ms. Katie Floyd from the University of Portsmouth in U.K. visited all Aptech centers in Nigeria, in the last week of February 2008, to individually counsel students intending to progress into Degree programs at the university. An agreement signed between the university and Aptech, enables students studying at centers across Nigeria to transfer their academic credit towards a B.Sc. Honors degree from the university. Students have an option to choose from eight specializations and gain entry directly into the final year of the degree program. The recent counseling session afforded students an opportunity to interact first hand with officials from the university International Admissions Office and the Faculty of Technology.................................. Aptech Hosts World Business Partners Meet 2008

Aptech hosted the World Business Partner meet 2008 in Hyderabad India from 16th - 19th January 2008. The event was attended by over 100 delegates from more than 20 countries and was held at the Ramojee Studios, the largest film studio in the world. The theme for the event this year was 'Beyond Boundaries'. The event provides a unique opportunity for all participants to exchange ideas, review past successes and plan for future growth. The event also provides a platform to recognize superior performance and excellence in achievement across the Aptech training center network. Aptech Students Excel in UK

Two Aptech students were awarded the Best Performance Prize 2007 by the School of Computing at the University of Portsmouth in the UK.. The students had opted to transfer their academic credits earned at Aptech to gain an advanced entry into the final year of the B.Sc. Honors degree program at the university. The achievement is testimony to the high academic standards of the Aptech curriculum and the quality of education being imparted to students. Students availing the credit transfer option not only save time by direct entry into the final year of the Degree program but also benefit from significant cost savings while still enjoying the prestige and recognition associated with U.K. degree .......................... Victoria Island Students Hold Send Off Party
15th September 2007
Students of Victoria Island center organized a send off party for their peers who completed their ACCP in Nigeria and are now progressing to universities in the U.K to complete their graduation. the vent took place on 15th September 2007. The event was fully planned & organized by the students with some financial assistance from the center. The party took place at the Flamingo restaurant in Victoria Island and was attended by students and parents in addition to the center staff. In addition to giving away awards to students in various categories, the students also organized a variety show with songs and dance performances adding to the excitement of those present. Surulere Center Conducts Project Presentations
8th August 2007
Surulere center conducted project presentations for 2 batches on 8th of August 2007. Students from all batches were invited to attend, irrespective of the course they had enrolled for. Selected students showcased their projects and then defended their presentations by answering the question from the audience. Around 70 students attended the project presentation which was divided into two groups. Each group was given 90 minutes to present. Senior faculties acted as judges and based on their decision students were rated as 1st , 2nd and 3rd. Prizes were the awarded to the first three projects. Miss. MUSTAPHA OLAIDE, Mrs. ADDY DAODU, Mr. ONUK ONUK won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respectively.
